Jermaine is an unstoppable teenager who loves giving back to the community. He is a heavy advocate for the hemophilia community and has even been to Washington DC to speak about hemophilia!

Rachel Novinc, Director of Family Relations, says “My favorite memory with Jermaine was watching him play volleyball this past spring at a BuckeyeThon event. Jermaine normally isn’t allowed to play sports like volleyball, but his mom let this be an exception. She even let him stay to play well after they were supposed to leave because he looked so happy!”

Jermaine's Hemophilia Journey:

Jermaine was diagnosed with severe Hemophilia B at 2 ½ years old. His blood doesn’t clot properly so he gets bleeds from injury, too much use of joints, or for no reason at all. He now gives himself IV's every five days. He is now a mentor for other kids with Hemophilia and went to Washington D.C. this year to advocate on behalf of Hemophilia patients.
