Our Beneficiary

All BuckeyeThon events support the Hematology/Oncology/BMT Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This hospital is where almost all of our BuckeyeThon kids receive their treatments. 100% of funds that are raised by Team Members and volunteers are donated to the hospital. These funds are used to support families who cannot afford the cost of treatments, necessary items to be purchased by the Hematology/Oncology/BMT Department to further improve the quality of care they can provide, and groundbreaking clinical trials to find the best way to treat these illnesses.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983 from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to one of the North America’s leading children’s charities. The organization was founded by Marie Osmond and her family as well as John Schneider, Mick Shannon and Joe Lake.

It set out with two simple goals:

1) Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children's hospitals

2) Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has raised $4.7 billion in over 30 years. Right now, there's a Children's Miracle Network Hospital working to save the lives of kids in your community.
