Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with BuckeyeThon as a student at The Ohio State University. Here is an overview of our levels of involvement.

Team Member

  • Register to join BuckeyeThon with your College, Sorority or Fraternity, Residence Hall, Student Organization, or Scholars Program

  • Gain free access to each of BuckeyeThon’s Signature Events

  • Enjoy year-round benefits, including apparel, food, and exclusive events

Morale Captain

  • Pump-up, engage Team Members, and lead color teams out at the Dance Marathon and BuckeyeThon’s other signature events.

  • Spend time on stage teaching and performing the Morale Dance at the Dance Marathon

  • Participate in four morale retreats and weekly Wendesday night meetings to prepare the Morale Dance and learn effective practices in interacting with Team Members.

Team Captain

  • Serve as a liason between your team and BuckeyeThon’s General Body

  • Lead your team’s fundraising and recruitment efforts

  • Attend weekly workshops and meetings to learn how to best lead your team

  • Plan and host recruitment and fundraising events for your Team Members

General Body Committee Member

  • Serve on one of fourteen BuckeyeThon committees year-round

  • Attend weekly General Body and committee meetings 

  • Help plan and execute all of BuckeyeThon’s events and initiatives

  • Making Miracles 365 days a year! 

  • Fall application process is open now. The application deadline will be Sunday, September 1, 2024.

  • BuckeyeThon BBQ: August 29, 2024, 5-8 PM

  • Runway Rally: October 30, 2024, 7-9 PM

  • Dance Marathon: February 8, 2025, 11 AM - 11 PM
