Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with BuckeyeThon as a student at The Ohio State University. Here is an overview of our levels of involvement.


Team Member

  • Register to join BuckeyeThon with your College, Greek Chapter, Residence Hall, Student Organization, or Scholars Program

  • Gain free access to each of BuckeyeThon’s Signature Events

  • Enjoy year-round benefits, including apperal, food, and exclusive events

  • Fundraise $250 to be invited to attend BuckeyeThon’s Dance Marathon


Morale Captain

  • Pump-up and engage Team Members at the Dance Marathon and BuckeyeThon’s other signature events.

  • Spend time on stage teaching and preforming the Morale Dance 

  • Participate in Three Morale Retreats and weekly meetings to prepare the Morale Dance and learn effective practices in interacting with Team Members


Team Captain

  • Serve as a liason between your team and BuckeyeThon’s General Body

  • Lead your team’s fundraising and recruitment efforts

  • Attend bi-weekly workshops and meetings to learn how to best lead your team

  • Plan and host recruitment and fundraising events for your team members


General Body Member

  • Serve on one of twelve BuckeyeThon committees year-round

  • Attend weekly General Body and Committee Meetings 

  • Help plan and execute all of BuckeyeThon’s events and initiatives

  • Be For The Kids 365 days a year! 

  • Fall application process

You can also become involved with BuckeyeThon by attending one of our signature events!

  • BBQ: August 29, 2017

  • Fashion Show: November 2, 2017

  • *Dance Marathon: February 9-10, 2018

  • CarnOval: Spring Semester

*The Dance Marathon requires you to be a registered Team Member who has met the $250 fundraising minimum in order to attend. But, visiting hours are available for guests!
