Prospective BuckeyeThon Families

Who are We?

BuckeyeThon is Ohio State’s largest student-run philanthropy that raises money for the Hematology, Oncology, and Blood & Marrow Transplant Unit of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We have raised over $14.3 million to date, which goes toward funding breakthrough cancer and blood disorder research and psychosocial services at the hospital. The most important thing to us at BuckeyeThon is championing our families. While we work to raise money to live in a world where cancer no longer exists, we also give our all to better the lives of the children and families who have at any point been treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Even though you might not yet know it, you are already a part of our BuckeyeThon family and we would absolutely love the opportunity to get to know you. Wherever you are on your journey—we are here for you.

Being a BuckeyeThon Champion Family means your child and family are invited to each of our BuckeyeThon signature events, as well as family exclusive events throughout the year. You will work with us to share your child’s story, to inspire others to commit their time, treasure, and talent to fighting pediatric cancer and blood disorders. We create special moments for your children, and champion them and their journeys.

If you are interested in becoming a BuckeyeThon Champion Family, please contact Nationwide Children's Hospital's Assistant Director of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Nimrah Clark (nimrah.clark@nationwidechildrens.org).
