Fundraising via email is our most successful tool for soliciting donations. Emails are most effective when sent to your parents and their generation resulting in an average donation of $60.

Hi XX,  

My name is XX and this is my XX year being a Team Member for BuckeyeThon. BuckeyeThon is Ohio State’s official student philanthropy and is a Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon Program. We raise money for the Hematology, Oncology, and Blood & Marrow Transplant Unit at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Today is Day of Miracles, our largest fundraising push day and I am reaching out to see if you would be willing to donate to help me make miracles. BuckeyeThon has raised over $14.3 million dollars and the money goes to fellowships, research, psychosocial services, chemotherapy treatments and much more. Consider donating $38 for the 38 million visits patients have to a Children's Miracle Network Hospital each year. Attached is the link to my personal fundraising page where you can donate! My goal this year is to become a miracle maker and raise $1,000!
