Fundraising via email is our most successful tool for soliciting donations. Emails are most effective when sent to your parents and their generation resulting in an average donation of $60.

Hi XX,  

My name is XX and this is my XX year in BuckeyeThon and I am a Team Member in BuckeyeThon is Ohio State’s student philanthropy and is a Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon Program. We raise money for the pediatric oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplant unit at Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Today is Day of Miracles, a fundraising push day and I am reaching out to see if you would be willing to donate to make miracles. BuckeyeThon has raised over $13 million dollars and the money goes to fellowships, research, psychosocial services, chemotherapy treatments and much more. Today is also significant as it’s October 4th and only 4% of national cancer funding goes to pediatric cancer.  Attached is the link to my personal fundraising page where you can donate! My goal this year is to become a miracle maker and raise $1,000!
