“Getting to know Pax and the Fabiny family has been one of the highlights of me being in Buckeyethon. Whether it’s the countless games of Gaga ball, or petting dogs, they are always on the move. Pax loves all sports and won’t pass up a time to pet a dog. A family like the Fabiny’s was why I decided to join GB and FR to try and help make a difference.”

Pax's Cancer Journey:

On December 23rd, 2013, Pax was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. After completing 4 cycles of chemotherapy, the doctors told Pax's family that the chemo was not working and that Pax would need surgery to remove the tumor. Surgery came with its own complications and the recovery was difficult for Pax. Pax underwent 2 more cycles of chemo after surgery and did just fine with them. Pax has been cancer-free for 2 years and to see him now you probably would not know he had been through so much at such a young age!
